Medical Relief & Equipping

Several times a year, a short-term team is sent to Haiti to work with a church in Jacmel. The team provides medical care and training in church planting and discipleship. Already three house churches have been planted with a fourth plant anticipated in 2012. This is an excellent initiative and provides the opportunity to share the gospel in both word and deed.

A contribution to this fund helps support the training, transportation, and ministry expenses for indigenous leaders and workers.

2012 Goal: $5,000

World Relief - Haiti

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere with 75% of the people living on less than $2 per day.  In addition to the extreme poverty, 50% of HIV/AIDS cases in the Caribbean are in Haiti.

The earthquake that occurred on January 12 places those that survived in an even more vulnerable situation.

The church-based community care program offers immunizations and nutritional support in the communities. Today, more than 4,000 mothers and children benefit from World Relief health programs.

World Relief works with more than 500 churches across the country to respond to AIDS through youth abstinence education, caring for those who are sick and reaching out to 10,000 orphans in the community.

2012 Goal: $30,000
